Score your Marine Corps Combat Fitness Test with the exact official scoring tables โ not approximations. Movement to Contact, Ammo Can Lifts, and Maneuver Under Fire.
The Combat Fitness Test has three events, each worth up to 100 points for a 300-point maximum: the Movement to Contact (an 880-yard timed run in boots and cammies), the Ammo Can Lifts (lifting a 30-pound ammo can from shoulder height to overhead as many times as possible in two minutes), and the Maneuver Under Fire โ a 300-yard timed obstacle course combining sprints, ammo can carries, a buddy drag and fireman's carry, a grenade throw, and ammo resupply. This calculator uses the exact rep-by-rep and second-by-second values from the official Marine Corps scoring tables at fitness.marines.mil, applying the correct standard for your sex and age group automatically.

The CFT is run in the utility uniform with boots โ not running shoes โ twice a year, on an opposite cycle from the PFT. Comparing the two? Check your USMC PFT score, verify you're inside standards with the body composition calculator, or dial in your MTC pace with the Running Pace Calculator.
You need a minimum of 150 points total (3rd Class) and at least 40 points on every single event. Scoring 39 or below on any one event is an automatic failure regardless of your total, so there's no "banking" your way past a weak event with strong ones.
235 or higher earns 1st Class and is the score to aim for โ it's expected for promotion competitiveness and screened by many special-duty programs. A perfect 300 requires maxing all three events, which for a 21-25 male means roughly a 2:38 movement to contact, 115 ammo can lifts, and a 2:04 maneuver under fire.
The PFT measures general fitness โ pull-ups or push-ups, plank, and a 3-mile run in running shoes. The CFT simulates combat tasks in boots and cammies and rewards explosive power and agility. Both are scored out of 300 using the same class thresholds, and Marines take each one once per year.
Yes. This calculator applies the correct standard across all eight age brackets from 17-20 to 51+. Older brackets get slightly more time on the timed events and need fewer ammo can lifts for the same points, but the 40-point event minimum and 150-point passing floor stay constant.
